We believe this is one of the earliest know images of Stage 5, Circa 1987. That young lady near the campfire is Sherry Merry (now Sherry Brace). The stage faced into our camp. This photo was taken by Jim Paul Blair from 14th Street.

Stage 5 leading the Pecan Grove Landrush. Russell is driving, Sherry is the passenger, and Bob Dorman jumped into the bed and rode in. I don’t remember if this was our 15th or 20th year. A lot of our friends got together and asked Rick if we could lead the line of campers into the grove.

These two pics are from when the truck was rear ended (while parked) in west Wichita. I was visiting friends when he heard a very loud boom. Went outside to see a guy backing away from the truck and then driving off. The fluid is from his radiator and a small amount form the gear case on the rear axle of the truck. . The crash shoved the front right wheel up and over the curb, broke the front left side leaf spring shackle, which caused the axle to not be alinged straight, shoved the entire cab forward by about an inch (which caused the floor shifter to rub on the floor boards, and nearly severed the license tag in two. The police followed the antifreeze trail to the guys car parked a few blocks away. The guy had just dropped off his daughter when he hit the truck, his windshield was crashed into the passenger seat where he hit the driver side back corner of the truck. This is where his daughter was sitting just prior to the crash. Thankfully no one was seriously injured, he whacked his head on his steering wheel pretty hard. Not 100% sure of the year it happened but it was before 1998 when we extended the bed from 10 to 12 feet, and the 10′ stock racks no longer could be used. Best guess is 1996 or 1997.
