This flag was a gift from Beppe Gambetta the first year he attended\/preformed at the festival. He had just played his first ever set on Stage 5 and was overwhelmed at the reception and ovation he received. He left for a few minutes and then came back with this Italian soccer team flag that he had signed for us. Every year for several in a row when Beppe returned to Winfield we would hang the flag on the stage before his set. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After his 2022 set on Stage 5 Beppe again wrote on the flag he gave us so many years ago. He added “After 35 years still deeply in love with you! Beppe”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following 5 photos are carvings done on Russell & Sherry’s walking sticks carved by Russell’s father Robert in 2014 .. Bob was a master wood carver but these would would some of his final carvings before passing. After Russell’s mother passed Bob became an honorary part of the Stage 5 Crew .. he would sit in the backstage area and carve little boots and hand them out to whoever was close by. By the time he carved the walking sticks he was getting pretty shaky. I have included a couple of his award winning carvings for reference, following the walking stick pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
